Starting Monday, August 4th, and continuing for several weeks, the LIRR will be conducting mechanized tie replacement work along the Far Rockaway branch. This maintenance will take place on weekdays between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM as part of their annual State of Good Repair program to replace wooden track ties.
This work will occur over the course of the next four weeks:
- August 4 – 8
- August 11 – 15
- August 18 -22
- August 25 – 29
