Cedarhurst Remembers September 11

Black granite 9/11 memorial at Andrew J. Parise Park honoring local victims of the September 11 attacks, surrounded by greenery and white roses placed in remembrance. The memorial features an etched image of the Twin Towers and the names of community members who were lost.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 25th Anniversary 9/11 Ceremony in Andrew J. Parise Park on September 11, 2026.

It was truly special to see our community come together to honor and remember those we lost, the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

We were honored to hear from our community leaders, elected officials, and religious leaders who shared meaningful words of remembrance, hope, and strength.

Thank you for standing together with us as a community and keeping their memories alive. With each toll of the bell, the Village paid solemn tribute to all those who perished, with special remembrance for Kevin O’Rourke, Joseph Rivelli Jr., Thomas Jurgens, Neil D. Levin, Bettina Browne Radburn, Ira Zaslow, and Howard Selwyn.

Together, we remember. Together, we honor. We will never forget.
