Storm Update and Event Cancellation Notice

Due to today’s storm, the Christmas Tree Lighting in the park has been canceled. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and hope you stay safe during the storm.

Our crews are actively plowing and salting roads to clear them as quickly as possible. You can help by following these guidelines:

  • Keep vehicles in driveways whenever possible so plows can clear streets curb-to-curb.
  • If street parking is necessary, park on the same side as other vehicles so at least one curb remains clear. Once that side is plowed, move your vehicle so crews can clear the opposite side.
  • When shoveling driveways, pile snow to the right (when facing the street) to help reduce the chance of snow being pushed back into the driveway apron.
  • Emergency calls should be made to 911 only. Calling the Fourth Precinct directly slows response time, as those calls are routed through 911.
  • Use caution when shoveling. Cold temperatures can mask pain or frostbite. Work slowly, take frequent breaks, and avoid overexertion.
  • Please check on elderly or disabled neighbors to make sure they are safe and warm.

Thank you for your cooperation as crews work through the storm.
