Every day, as law enforcement officers fasten their badges, they demonstrate an exceptional dedication to us. They willingly confront danger, disregarding personal risk, and unwaveringly uphold the principles of justice. In our neighborhoods, towns, and cities, they place themselves in harm’s way, with the hope of returning safely to their loved ones. On Peace Officers Memorial Day and throughout Police Week, we celebrate the extraordinary bravery of our law enforcement community and pay tribute to the courageous heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their fellow Americans.
In commemoration of these significant days, all flags, including those adorning Village buildings and stationary flagstaffs across the Village of Cedarhurst, shall be respectfully lowered to half-staff from dawn until dusk on May 15, 2023.
