Beautifying Our Village

As winter approaches, our DPW has been hard at work beautifying our Village.  During the last 2 weeks the Village planted 60 trees throughout our Village with a mix of sidewalk friendly species.  This included removing dead trees and replacing them with trees thoughtfully selected to avoid root intrusion into sidewalks, damage the roadways, and entanglement with overhead power lines.

“These trees will help beautify our Village streets, shade homes and businesses and enhance the overall quality of life for our residents,” said Mayor Benjamin Weinstock.

Another beautification initiative the Village has acted on is replacing our weather worn Village “Welcome” signs. These older signs have been replaced with a heavy-duty aluminum material which can withstand all elements and thus significantly improves the longevity and quality of the signs.

The Village Board is always focusing on making our Village a great place in which to live, work and play! We are looking forward to these improvements positively impacting the quality of life for our residents and the environment we share.
