The Opioid Epidemic is regrettably real and affects every community. Learning more about its causes, affects and cures is very important.
On October 29, 2018 from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Councilman Anthony D’Esposito will be hosting a training session at the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department. During the training you will be able to share experiences, discuss current events and understand how opioids work. Participants will learn how to recognize an overdose, how to provide rescue breathing during an overdose and how to administer Narcan. Upon completion of the training, participants will be certified to administer Narcan and will receive a free Narcan rescue kit.
