Tuesday night at Andrew J. Parise Park was an evening to remember. Cedarhurst’s favorite diva, JayCee, captivated the audience with her bold signature voice that showcased the performances of the great divas.
Earlier in the evening, smiling children filled the park as they laughed and played with their balloon animals that were being created under the pavilion. “It’s great to see the children enjoying the park” said Mayor Benjamin Weinstock
Tuesday was also National Night Out Against Crime. During the concert people of all ages had a chance to meet the men and women of the Nassau County Police who serve our community. Officers from Nassau County’s 4th Precinct educated everyone about home and child safety as well as how to put together a Child ID Kit. This nationwide community-building campaign helps promote police-community partnerships and camaraderie to make our Village a safer place to live, work and worship.
Over 60 benefactors contributed to the 2016 series including the Sponsors: Green Acres Century 21 Department Store, TD Bank, Frank B. Lewis Attorney at Law, New Horizon Counseling Center, Bolla Market, Salerno Brokerage Corp., Incredible Feets and Jildor Shoes. Mayor Weinstock reminded everyone that our sponsors play a vital part in making these free concerts available at absolutely no expense to our taxpayers.
