SUMMARY:2021 Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Villages of Cedarhurst and Lawrence\, together with the Lawrence Cedarhurst Volunteer Fire Department and Lawrence-Cedarhurst American Legion Post 339\,  invite everyone to join as we host the largest Memorial Day Parade in the Five Towns.  Our Parade and Memorial Day Program will kickoff on Sunday\, May 30th at 10:00 AM\, with a rain date of Monday\, May 31st at 10:00 AM.    Enjoy watching and cheering for the Veterans groups\, police and fire departments\, many local organizations and schools that will march along Central and Cedarhurst Avenues to pay tribute and remember those who gave their lives for our country.  At the conclusion of the Parade please join us for our very inspiring and meaningful Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Andrew J. Parise Park in Cedarhurst.

DESCRIPTION:Chabad of the Five Towns will bring Hanukkah’s message of light and hope to Cedarhurst during the ongoing pandemic\, with a safely conducted Car Menorah Parade\, to be held Tuesday December 15 at 6:30 PM\, following the grand menorah lighting. \n\n\n\n“We hope the light and celebration brings joy\, happiness and warmth to the Village of Cedarhurst during these times” said Cedarhurst Mayor Benjamin Weinstock. \n\n\n\nAll participants are required to be distanced and wearing masks\, and those who want to view the lighting will be able to watch from the safety of their own vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, due to Covid\, we are unable to host our Caroling and Tree Lighting Event in the Park.  But that doesn’t mean we can’t spread Christmas cheer. DESCRIPTION:Our veterans served America with honor and devotion\, protecting the ideals of freedom\, equality and opportunity\, which uniquely makes our country the greatest nation on earth.  It is with deep respect that we come together as a community to express our immense gratitude and sincere appreciation for our great veterans.  \n\n\n\nOn Wednesday\, November 11\, 2020 at 11:00 AM the Village of Cedarhurst in conjunction with the Lawrence-Cedarhurst American Legion Post 339\, will commemorate Veterans Day at Andrew J. Levin\, Thomas E. Jurgens\, Joseph Rivelli\, Jr.\, Ira Zaslow\, Bettina Browne Radburn and Howard Selwyn. \n\n\n\nOn Friday\, September 11th at 4:00 pm please join us at Andrew J. Parise Park as we remember the horrific events of September 11th and we pay tribute to the first responders and their families.
