Parise Park.  \n\n\n\nThe National Night Out Against Crime is an annual event where communities across the country come together with law enforcement at various outdoor events. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.  \n\n\n\nSenior Nassau County Police officials will be present to interact with the residents of our community. This is a great opportunity to ask questions\, find out what is being done to ensure our safety\, and to discuss any special needs or concerns.

DESCRIPTION:Car crashes is the leading cause of death and serious injury to children under age 13. This can be prevented or mitigated with properly installed car seats. If you are a parent\, grandparent\, caregiver\, or travel with children\, knowing how to correctly install and use a car seat is essential. \n\n\n\nOn Wednesday\, August 14th\, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Cedarhurst train station taxi cab parking area on Summit Avenue\, the Town of Hempstead will be hosting the Child Car Seat Safety Program. Thanks to Supervisor Don Clavin and Councilwoman Melissa Miller\, certified technicians will inspect your car seat placement in your vehicle and let you know of they are correctly positioned and properly installed. They will also recommend appropriate car seats\, and check for recalls or defects.
