Town of Hempstead Mobile Passport Service is coming to Cedarhurst

Need a passport, or is it time to renew your old one?  The Town of Hempstead’s Mobile Passport unit will be in Cedarhurst Village Hall on Sunday, June 4th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to help you apply for a U.S. Passport with ease.  For your added convenience, the Town of Hempstead will also take your required passport photo.

You must bring acceptable (a) proof of United States Citizenship (i.e. a previous passport or certified birth certificate) AND (b) proof of identity (i.e. a previous passport or a driver’s license) with you.

Passport applications for children under age 16, who have or have not had a passport in the past, are subject to special additional requirements:

  • The application must be submitted in person.
  • The child must be present.
  • Both parents must appear with the child. If one parent is unable to appear in person, a notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent , https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds3053.pdf  from the non-applying parent must be presented
  • Your child must have a Social Security Number

“I know how difficult it is for parents to take off from work to apply for passport s.  Having a mobile passport office in Cedarhurst on Sunday makes it so much easier to apply in a friendly and convenient environment” said Mayor Weinstock and “I look forward to greeting you in person.”
