If you see something, say something.

Mayor Benjamin Weinstock and the Village Board express their heartfelt prayers and condolences to the victims and families of the recent terrorist attack in Berlin, Germany.

The Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) announced that it is taking all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of the public and its Police Officers.  The NCPD has intensified patrols in all shopping malls, areas of mass transit, public gatherings and near critical infrastructure.

Social Media outlets will be intensely monitored and the NCPD has requested the public’s assistance in any way possible to stop threats to public safety.

Immediate threats should be called into 911 and tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.

Don’t hesitate to say something if you see something.  The Police prefer to err on the side of caution.

The NCPD has reported that at this time, there are no known imminent threats to Nassau County.
